Taking a picture of another stretch goal cocktail
Just wanted to let you all know that the surveys will be sent out to everyone momentarily. Please look for it in your e-mail. If you don't see it by the end of the day, please let me know. As a reminder, we need this information very soon to be able to send the books off to the printer, so please help us out by filling in your information as soon as possible.
Above is another picture that Naomi took of me taking a picture of one of the stretch goal cocktails. Somehow I seem to always end up doing this on the floor... If you look carefully, you can kinda tell that this is a hot drink!
Cheers!
Important Update Regarding Surveys and BackerKit
almost 11 years ago
– Tue, Jun 09, 2015 at 04:00:48 AM
Hey everyone! Please read this update all the way through to the end. It has important information about the surveys that we'll be sending out soon.
Sorry that it's been a couple weeks since our last update. We've been super busy putting together the stretch goal content! Nearly doubling the size of the book takes a decent amount of work, but we think you'll be really happy with the extra drinks and the topics covered alongside them.
Just to prove that we've been working hard, here's a really unflattering picture of me taking one of the new pictures and a preview shot of the setup for another of the drinks.
Taking a picture on the roof!
The setup for another of the new cocktail pictures...what could it be?
We have a little more work to do, but we expect to be able to send the book off for printing in the next couple weeks.
The next part is important for you to get your book...
We need to send out surveys to each of you to collect your shipping information, the name you'd like to have on the Thanks page in the book, and potentially other items based on the perk you chose (for example, if you asked for a custom cocktail recipe then there are a bunch of other questions).
We have decided to use a service called BackerKit to handle this part of the process, which gives us some flexibility beyond what is possible with the built-in Kickstarter survey system. BackerKit also allows us to provide some add-ons that we didn't have ready in time for the main campaign, such as Snooty Bird t-shirts and cocktail making tool kits. Another benefit is that it allows folks who didn't get a chance to purchase a book through the Kickstarter to buy their own copy and get it shipped alongside the Kickstarter rewards.
We will give you another heads up right before we send the survey so you can watch for it, hopefully in just a day or two. It is important that when you receive the survey, you get it back to us as quickly as you can. We need the information for the Thanks page of the book by June 17 to be certain that it appears in the book as you request. Just FYI, if you don't fill out the survey in time, then we will use your Kickstarter screen name instead.
You do not need to make a login and password to fill out your survey on BackerKit, just fill it out and you’ll be good to go!
If you prefer, you can also message us and provide the necessary info, but filling out the survey on BackerKit will help out our project tremendously, and help us get your rewards out to you quicker!
If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit invite will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email you prefer it to be sent to, please email [email protected].
Again, thanks for all your support!
Test Guinea Pig Sessions Complete!

Last night we wrapped up the final test guinea pig sessions with two contributors, Lisa and Jim, and did another session the night before with another contributor, Kevin. Both sessions went well, and we got a lot of great additional feedback that we'll be integrating into the book this coming weekend. Here are a few pictures from this week's sessions:
A Sidecar from the Tuesday session
Kevin's Mai Tai from Tuesday... Yum!
Lisa from the Wednesday session and her Moscow Mule
Jim's Jasmine cocktail from Wednesday
Cheers!
Also, don't forget about the stretch goal cocktail voting! We've received votes from almost half of the backers so far. Be sure to check out the previous update for backers only with details on the cocktail recipe options and the link to vote!
